2024 Food Zone Application and Information

During the Dexter Summer Festival there will be a food zone located on Central Street as well as trucks located in other hot spots like the kids zone and the social district. We will have both food trucks and food booths this year. If your business would like to participate please read the requirements below and fill out an application. Someone from the Chamber will contact you upon receipt of your application.

We are limited in the number of trucks/booths we can have in the food zone due to space constraints so please apply promptly.

Fees: $500

Application Process:

  1. Read requirements below and verify you can meet the Dexter Fire Department requirements.

  2. Fill out the application by June 15th, 2024.

  3. A Chamber member will reach out to you shortly.

  4. If approved fill out registration form and inspection form and make payment.

  5. Complete inspection if needed

    Requirements:

  • Meet requirement on the registration form Click here

  • Have a Dexter permit for food tuck operation or be willing to have an inspection done to earn permit.

    • Required and completed by the fire department.

    • One time, no cost inspection that grants you a permit to do business in Dexter for one year.

    • Done prior to the event.

    • Only applies if you are making food on site.

  • Per the registration from have completed a safety course in the last 3 years. Many different sources are acceptable. Below are two free options if your business needs an updated safety course.

  • Set up truck or booth Wednesday afternoon. More information will be provided

  • Once in your spot your truck or booth must stay there until the end of the festival

  • Stay open during food zone hours Friday 10 AM - 8 PM and Saturday 10 AM - 8 PM.

  • Proof of insurance.

What we will provide:

  • Closed street or area for your set up

  • Electrical if needed.

  • Marketing on the Chamber of Commerce Website, social media platforms, and posters throughout town.

  • Police presence overnight to ensure festival site safety.

  • Access to thousands of festival goers.
